This notice describes information used by TheCodexes website, ChartWalk and related study tools.
Account and study information
When you sign in, we process your email, display name and sign-in identifier. Email sign-in uses verification messages; passwords, where set, are stored as salted hashes. Study services can store your progress, answers, schedules, preferences and feedback. Some preferences and study data are also stored in your browser.
Access and security
Essential cookies keep you signed in. Access records can include sign-in times, IP addresses, approximate IP location, device information and security events. Personalized reader copies may include visible watermarks and encrypted attribution identifiers to protect licensed material. Invited reviewers receive additional review-specific terms before access.
Purchases and service providers
Stripe processes payments. TheCodexes stores purchase identifiers and access status; the checkout service handles payment-card entry. Hosting, database, sign-in and email providers process information needed to operate the service, including Cloudflare, Neon, Google, Stripe and Resend, where those features are used. Information may also be disclosed where necessary to comply with law or investigate misuse.
Retention and your requests
Security and study records follow the service's configured retention and account-deletion processes. Billing, attribution and records needed to resolve disputes can follow separate retention periods. To request access, correction or deletion of your account information, contact admin@thecodexes.com. Requests may require identity verification; legal or security retention requirements may limit deletion.
Your choices
You can sign out and manage browser storage. Clearing local storage can remove device-only preferences or progress. Avoid submitting patient-identifying information in feedback or study notes. Changes to this notice will be posted here with an updated date.
