Head impulse test

A negative HIT in this single case must not be taught as sufficient to diagnose stroke; HINTS applies to acute vestibular syndrome in the right clinical setting and with trained examiners. This patient was treated for a suspected canalith jam. Contact sheet reviewed: source video explicitly titles the negative head impulse test around 00:35, followed by face close-ups during bilateral head thrusts; other segments show infrared nystagmus and supine roll testing. Display copy is an excerpt from 44 to 75 seconds of the linked original.

Head impulse test

Complex horizontal-canal canalith-jam case, not a stand-alone HINTS examination. Use a chapter marker or excerpt for the HIT portion after visually checking final crop; full video is 12 minutes. Contact sheets reviewed: patient with infrared eye display during roll testing and examiner conducting a bedside head maneuver. The positive HIT interpretation is stated by the primary author on the source page. Display copy is an excerpt from 448 to 485 seconds of the linked original.
