This guide connects the media bank to the public Step 2 CK content outline and sample questions. It is an acquisition guide for an independent study library, not a prediction of what will appear on an exam.
No official topic-by-topic media frequency exists in the sources reviewed. USMLE publishes broad system and competency ranges and shows examples of pictorial and interactive items. The public sample booklet is illustrative and may not represent an individual exam. We do not rank diagnoses by measured image frequency.
Two public sample items use hysterosalpingograms. A trauma chest film is another explicit example. We source distinct licensed examples and keep uterine-cavity interpretation separate from assessment of the external uterine contour.
The public sample contains upper-GI endoscopic decision making and Giardia stool microscopy. File captions distinguish the actual licensed source finding from the requested study target.
An infant chest radiograph in the sample motivates an absent-thymus comparison. The library labels different underlying diseases and includes a normal thymic-shadow comparator.
The official outline names hearing loss, vertigo, and brain death; the media format supports audio and video. Specific bedside maneuvers are our editorial teaching choices, not published exam-frequency claims.
Source-attributed audio examples provide a direct way to compare respiratory sounds and two cardiac findings. Each recording has its own source, creator, license, and clinical caveat.
