About

TheCodexes.com builds USMLE® Step 2 CK study tools that explain the reasoning

One connected system: the USMLE® Board Mastery Review Book and QuestionBook, a 2,500-question QuestionBank with clinical rationales, ChartWalk bedside decision flowcharts for all 427 topics, 7,761 FlashCards, and a free ImageBank of 305 annotated clinical plates.

Who writes and reviews the content

TheCodexes.com is the author and publisher of everything on this site. Every chapter, question, flowchart and plate is written and clinically reviewed by practising clinicians before it is published, and the same editorial team that wrote the USMLE® Board Mastery books wrote the rationales. There is no outsourced content farm behind the site.

Editorial policy

  • Every topic names the primary guideline or society statement it follows (for example the 2025 ACC/AHA Acute Coronary Syndromes guideline), and the numbers registry lists the source behind each threshold.
  • Questions are written in NBME® item style and explain why each option is right or wrong, not only which one is right.
  • ChartWalk flowcharts follow the guideline decision points in order, so a learner can see where a management choice comes from.
  • ImageBank plates keep the original source pixels; annotations are written beside the image, never drawn onto it, and each plate records its source and licence.
  • Content is updated when guidelines change; the topic registry (21 chapters, 427 topics) is the index that every tool shares.

Corrections

Found an error in a question, a flowchart or a plate? Use Report a problem (it records the exact item) or write to admin@thecodexes.com. Reports go straight to the editorial team; confirmed errors are corrected in the live content.

What is free and what a pass includes

The ImageBank, 16 QuestionBank questions, 50 FlashCards, three ChartWalk sample walks and the opening 50 pages of each book are free without an account; a free account opens 5% of every topic across QuestionBank, ChartWalk and FlashCards. A fixed-term study pass (90, 180 or 365 days, never auto-renewing) opens the full QuestionBank, every ChartWalk topic and all FlashCards.
